Fashion Law Bootcamp 2013 at Fordham Law School’s Fashion Law Institute will be here sooner than you think! In response to growing interest in the Bootcamp – as well as fashion law generally – the Fashion Law Institute opened applications for the 2013 Fashion Law Bootcamp program this week – earlier than previously scheduled in October.
This year marks the third annual Fashion Law Bootcamp program, which is scheduled from May 21 to May 31, 2013. I attended the Bootcamp last summer, and it was an amazing experience that I highly recommend to anyone interested in fashion law or the business of fashion.
The program is run by Professor Susan Scafidi, Founder and Academic Director of the Fashion Law Institute, who created the first fashion law courses and law school curriculum six years ago while teaching at Fordham University School of Law.
The Fashion Law Institute recently celebrated its second anniversary and ongoing fashion law pop-up clinic program with a fashion show in the tents at Lincoln Center as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.
Fashion law is a growing niche practice addressing diverse areas that affect the fashion industry, including intellectual property, financing, international trade, government regulation, real estate, zoning, dress codes, and other employment issues.
